Triond is where you can submit interesting content, get them published in one of their websites and earn money out of your content.

The content that you submit could be anything - text, photos, videos, music, podcasts - just about anything. Of course, they have to be original to get published. Once you submit your content and it is approved, triond will publish it on websites in their network or their affiliates’ networks.

How does my content make money?
Your content generates revenue from online advertising that appears on the pages alongside your content. But not all of the revenue comes to you. You are paid 50% of the revenue generated from your content in the previous month. But it is not just one time. Your content will remain there and can fetch you money month after month. The more content you submit, the more you can make.

While content can be in any media, it is preferable that it is textual since it is the best form to get indexed in the search engines and get traffic through them. After you submit a content, you may want to promote your content by sending the link to your published content to your friends and family or by publishing the link in forums, social bookmarking sites etc.

But couldn’t I start my own blog instead?
Of course, you can start your own blog instead of submitting your content to Triond. But the fact is while it is easy enough to start a blog, it takes quite a lot of work and time to maintain it. You can’t be posting content just once or twice a month and expect your blog to be read - unless you are some kind of celebrity. While, you can keep 100% of whatever revenue gets generated from your blog, it wouldn’t be much if you didn’t have lot many visitors.

On the other hand, Triond can be helpful even if you have occasional ideas for your content but if you wish to make some decent money you would need lots of contents. It is comparatively easy to get readers to notice your content, since visitors coming to read other content also may read your content.

Ultimately, each has its own merits. It is for you to choose which suits you. Actually you could benefit more by choosing to use both. You could draw people to your blog by submitting some good contents to Triond and mentioning your blog somewhere in the content.

One of the most common ways to make things stand out in a web page is to put the content in a < div > tag with a background color and/or borders - in effect creating a box. But this only creates a square cornered box which is so to say…boring.

How would it be if you could have boxes with curved corners? I bet everybody likes nice looking curves ( ). However, to create curved corners is a little tricky. Apart from html & css you would also need a few images to get the rounded corners. But there is a very easy way to do it.

Roundedcornr.com is a site that makes it extremely easy to create boxes with rounded corners. You can create basic boxes, gradient filled boxes or boxes with borders - all with rounded corners, off course. All you need to do is enter a few parameters like the corner radius, background color(s), border color, border width etc and then click on the Create RoundedCornr button. Voila! the codes and images for your rounded box are ready.

Just copy the html code to your page, the css code to your style sheet and the images to your website folder. Make sure that you change the path to the images in the css. Roundedcornr can also help you create Buttons, Tabs, Input Boxes with rounded corners like in the adjacent image.

This is my 100th post of this blog. Time flies. It looks like I just started this blog and already it is 3 months old. Well it is still a baby and is only crawling.

It has been a very satisfying 3 months of blogging. Digital Quest is my first attempt at blogging. Though I heard about blogging quite a long time ago, I never thought I would be authoring one some day. I was under the impression that one needs to be a good writer to put things up on a blog. Only lately I realised that though a skill in good writing helps, it is not a must-have quality. The most important thing is content.

Digital Quest deals with tech stuff but if you have seen my About page, you would already know that neither do I have a background in technology/computers nor does my present profession directly deal with it. However, there have been times when I had the opportunity to work in the EDI section in one of our offices and that was a really great experience. It really boosted my interest in the field and the result is this blog.

I wouldn’t be talking about ‘my great accomplishments in the last 3 months‘ for the simple reason that there are none to brag about. But what is really encouraging is the fact that over the last 1 month I have been getting quite a few visitors. Not much, but enough to prod me to do more. It really feels good to know that people read the stuff you write and hopefully find it useful too.

As of now, I don’t have any great plans for the future than to keep this blog fresh with new posts everyday. But I must admit that it has not been an easy task. With a regular day job and a family to care for, it is hard to find time for blogging. Mostly I sit late in the night and try to do some posts. But I wouldn’t complain about it. It is really fun. My only complain is, why I didn’t think of starting a blog much earlier. Anyway, it is never too late.

Thanks to everybody who reads DQ. Keep reading and send me your comments to improve it. (May not be long before you read my 1000th post )
