Do you email or e-mail?

Ever wondered whether it’s email or e-mail? This controversy has been going on for a long time. Just google up the search term email vs e-mail and you will find several discussions on the topic. Rob has a nice post on this topic in his blog.

While not many people seem to care much about it, it does make an interesting topic to waste your time over. While email is easier to type, there is one opinion that it should be e-mail, since the hyphen denotes the compound word “electronic mail”.

Most people prefer to have a mouse in their laptop bag, as they are not very comfortable with the touch pad on their notebook computer. A regular sized mouse in your laptop bag feels awkward and the smaller ones, designed for portability, aren’t very convenient to handle.

How to download popular magazines from Zinio for free

Recently Amit had written a post on How to Read Popular Magazines on your Desktop for Free. It is basically a simple, but effective trick of changing your browsers useragent to view the magazines at zinio.com/iphone.

While the trick works fine, you have to be online to read the magazines. I prefer to read such stuff offline and so was wondering if there could be a way to download and read all those magazines offline. I cranked my peanut sized brain and was able to find a simple way to download them.

View the lyrics of a song automatically in Winamp or WMP

If you are a music buff and constantly search for song lyrics, you will love this plugin.

Lyricsplugin is an add-on to view lyrics in WinAmp or Windows Media Player automatically as you play a song. I tried it out and was really pleased with its performance. As soon as the song starts playing, the lyrics are displayed almost instantaneously.

Also, if a particular lyric is not found, you can add it yourself.

Tweetcube - Sharing files on Twitter made easy

Tweetcube is a free service that allows you to share files on Twitter. You can share images, videos, music and more with just a couple of clicks.

Just log in to TweetCube using your Twitter username and password, upload a file, add a message and publish it to share with your twitter friends. Pretty simple. The uploaded files can be of the type .zip, .rar, .txt, .jpg, .png, .gif or a .jpg. While the size of a file that you can upload is limited to 10MB, there is no limit to the number of files you can upload. Older files are automatically deleted after 30 days.
