If you are a webmaster or a blogger, one of your many concerns would be broken links. A broken link on your website or blog may not be catastrophic, but it sure can affect the reputation of your website.
Fixing these broken link is not quite difficult but finding them in the first place could be a real challenge. If your website or blog has hundreds or thousands of pages, then finding them manually is not at all an option.
Fortunately, there is a free service that can help you find broken links on a particular web page or across an entire web site.
The service called Link Checker is located at http://validator.w3.org/checklink. Using the service is a no brainer. Just enter the URL to the page or website you want to check for broken links and hit Enter. It will scan all your pages for links and report any broken link it finds.
Depending on the number of pages in your web site, it may take a while for the service to generate a report. It will give you a detailed run down of any issues it finds with your links.
Of course, once you find the problematic links, it’s up to you to fix it.
