IDrive offers 2GB of free online backup space without any backup and restore restrictions or bandwidth limits or file type restrictions. While higher space is available for paid versions 2GB should be sufficient for most individual users/families for storing photos, media files or other important documents.
IDrive performs ‘hands-free automated backups’ of your files and folders. By default, the application sets a random after hours schedule to backup your PC’s critical data. You can customize your backups to change the default data selection and time/frequency of backups. The application will also map your account as a virtual drive in your computer. You can restore the backed up data from your IDrive account with a simple drag-and-drop operation.

If you are worried about the security of your data, you can rest assured because all data transferred between the IDrive client and server is encrypted using 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology and the data stored on the IDrive servers is encrypted using a secure key with a user supplied password known only to the end user.
There is just one limitation if you can call it that. You cannot use an IDrive account to perform backups from multiple computers. But if you do have to switch machines then you have to install IDrive on that computer and re-register the application.
You can get another 10 GB of free storage if you refer more than 5 of your friends to register with IDrive.

Great post, thanks
Interesting article. Backups are more important today then they have ever been in my opinion, if you loose your data and you cant recover it then your business is dead. Thanks again.
