Make any webpage look like a Microsoft Word document

Here is a cheeky little site that makes it safer for you to read your favorite blogs or any other site from your office.

Workfriendly.net makes your browsing less conspicuous by making any webpage look like a Microsoft Word document. Just go to workfriendly.net and enter the address of the site or webpage you want to visit and press [Enter]. (Clicking on the button that says “Is this good for the company”? can be discomforting). A new window popups with your requested page looking like a word document, all with menus and tool bars.

I must admit, it really looks like a word document. Most of the images are stripped off and any colorful text is replaced with black ones – not that a word document cannot contain images or colored text. But this way it looks more like a word document and also makes it less conspicuous. You can choose the appearance between Office 2003-Blue and Office 2003-Silver.

If you really want to cover things up, there is this ‘Boss key’ button. Just mouse-over on this button and your web page is replaced with a write up about managing your time and overcoming procrastination. So even if your boss reads it he will only be too happy on your efforts for self-development :) .
