W3C, the World Wide Web Consortium has announced a logo for HTML5. HTML5 is the next major revision of HTML and is currently under development.

If you are one of the early adopters of HTML5 and have used HTML5 in your site or have to do anything with HTML5 you might want to use the logo to shout it out to the world. Apart from HTML5, there are also separate logos for the different technology classes around which HTML5 is built like semantics, offline & storage, device access, multimedia, css3/styling etc.

The logo home page includes a badge builder which generates code for displaying the logo. The logo is available under “Creative Commons 3.0 By” so it can be adapted by designers to meet their needs.
