LocalCooling is a free tool that automatically optimizes your PC’s power consumption by using a more effective power save mode tham the Microsoft standard.

From the Local Cooling Application you are directly presented with detailed information on how much power your PC is consuming based on a large database of hardware and in-depth research.

localcooling_stats.JPGBy adjusting the power mode settings the advanced algorithms will predict how much you will save based on past PC usage and statistical data. Every time LocalCooling saves power by either turning of your screen, putting your hard drive to sleep when not used or shutting down your PC when you are away, your savings stats will start to grow.

If you are logged in with your LocalCooling Account your stats will contribute to the total savings made by LocalCooling users. You also have the chance to show up on the top savers lists.

Note: This software requires Windows XP to run.
