Here is where 3M’s Notebook Privacy Computer Filter can come to your rescue. It actually looks like a simple thin sheet of flexible plastic. Slip it in front of your computer screen and, all of a sudden, you can no longer view the screen from the side. As long as you are sitting directly in front of the scree, you would be able to see things clearly. But as soon as you move to the side, the screen starts to black out, and by the time you’re at about a 45 degree angle, the screen just appears as solid black, with nothing visible at all.

Privacy filters are great! I love mine. I don’t have a 3M one but I have one made by ViewGuard (www.buyviewguard.com). The thing works wonders and it keeps those snoopers away from my screen. Take that! Now, when I am working in Starbucks I don’t have people watching me work or watch movies anymore. The best thing is that the screen looks black from an angle so it throws off the snoopers.

I have ordered both the Buyviewguard and 3M for my computers.. I think all and all the http://www.buyviewguard.com is a much better privacy filter. This item works great and keeps people from looking at my documents on the plane. I own a dell E1705
