It looks like Google is working on an online presentation application called Presently (could be the code name) like the Zoho Show. There has been no announcement by Google yet. Ionut Alex. Chitu noticed the following code in the Google Docs while searching for something else.

Looking at the above code gives us hints about Presently. Like, it appears that Presently would be able to create presentations from documents and that Opera browser won’t be supported. If you look towards the bottom of the code, there is an indication that Presently will have four themes one of them being called Google. If Google wants Presently to be different from Zoho Show then it must atleast include animation which Zoho Show lacks at present. But Sridhar Vembu of Zoho has recently said “We are working on numerous feature additions to Zoho Show - animations is definitely one of them. Stay tuned!“.

It would be interesting to see when Google launches Presently, if it would have any innovative features lacking in others.
