Did you know that you can convert a mail in Gmail to Google Doc with a single click?

The feature is a part of Google labs and is disabled by default. To enable it, go to Settings, and then click on Labs. Scroll down and look for the Create a Document option. Once you find it enable it by clicking on the Enable checkbox next to it.

Once enabled you will find the Create to document link on the right of your gmail window, just below the Print all link. Just open any mail that you want to convert to a document and click on the Create a document link. The content of the mail will be converted to Google docs and will open up in a new window/tab. It takes a few moments to convert and you may have to log into your Google docs account.

If you want to open a blank Google document, you can do that by hitting the g key followed by the w key.
