Facebook is a great online social networking tool and a great place to interact with people. But sometimes you would come across people whom you would rather not connect with. So how do you keep these people from writing on your wall and pestering you on chat?

Fortunately, Facebook has an option that lets you block people from getting into your Facebook life. Here’s how.

1.  Log into your Facebook account (as if you didn’t know that).

2.  Click on ‘Account’ on the top of the page and select ‘Privacy Settings’ from the drop-down menu. You can also click on ‘Account Settings’ and then click ‘manage’ against ‘Privacy’.

3.  Look for ‘Block Lists’ and then click on ‘Edit your lists’ link under it.

4.  Enter the name of the person or his email id whom you want to block and click the ‘Block This User’ button. If you enter a name, Facebook displays a list of people who match the name.

Once you locate the person you want to block just click on the ‘Block’ button alongside.
