Unlike Windows XP, in Vista, if you right-click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop, you will find an option to Delete it. This makes it all too easy to accidentally delete Recycle Bin from the desktop.
But fortunately, getting it back is just as easy. To restore the Recycle-Bin icon on the desktop, here is what you need to do.
- Right-click on an empty region on the desktop
- Select ‘Personalize’
- On the windows that appears, click on ‘Change desktop icons’
- Check the box next to Recycle Bin
- Finally click OK.
That’s all. The Recycle Bin should now have reappeared on your Vista desktop.
