Word 2007 has a new feature called the Document Inspector, which can be used to view the hidden information stored in Word files.
Just click the large Office button in the top-left corner and select Prepare. Choose Inspect Document and tick any items that you want to view, such as hidden text, comments, revisions, and annotations.
Click the Inspect button and your selected information will now be displayed. Next to each item is a button to remove it. This can be useful in certain circumstances, such as when you want to share the document with other people.
