Is Facebook your main IM tool? You can place it in your browser’s sidebar. Here’s how.

  • In Firefox just go to Bookmarks -> Organize Bookmarks and click on Bookmarks Toolbar.
  • Select New Bookmark, and name it Facebook Chat.
  • Paste in this URL: http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php. (Make sure you’ve selected “Load this bookmark in the sidebar” and hit Save.)
